Wives, submit yoervelsus to your own husbands AS YOU DO TO THE LORD. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. (Ephesians 5:22-24, emphasis added)Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence fro the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. (Colossians 3:22-24)Note: I am not professing personal agreement with these passages or urging them on anyone. But I want you to see, shiratori, that there is nothing in the Bible that outright forbids thoughtful submission to another human being, and that in some cases a Christian may even view such submission as a spiritual act. What's crucial is that you find a Dom who respects, or preferably shares, your beliefs, and will not force you to do anything against your conscience. If he shares your religious convictions, he won't want to be an object of idolatry any more than you want to be an idolater, and you and he can both agree that his role is second only to God in your mind and heart.
